These systems are used for recovering hydrocarbon and other VOC's from vent streams. They can use pressure swing, hot gas, and steam for regeneration.


??Carbon Adsorption
Carbon molecular sieves can be used for
separating nitrogen and/or CO2 from natural gas. Carbon beds can be used to concentrate VOC's from high volume air streams in order to regenerate and thermally destroy a much smaller more concentrated stream. Without this concentration it is economically infeasible to destroy or recover low concentration VOC's. The technology of activated carbon is constantly improving and this has affected regeneration requirements and approach. The applications of activated carbon are too
numerous to list here. CKC has built systems regenerated with steam, hot gas, vacuum, and pressure swing.
